My first self-development: These little hooks help you to get into the cockpit and give you more grip. Simply sit on them, hook in and start shooting.

By building up a slight tension with your index, middle, ring or little finger, you sit more compactly overall - and more calmly at the same time. And you always have a reminder to keep it that way and not to soften the aero position when no one is looking or you are simply tired.

You can use the resistance in both directions, as there is a slight recess at the front and rear. This means you can always keep an eye on the distance from the cockpit to the saddle. In case you like to move further forward when under greater loads, like me - or make yourself very small and long on high-speed descents.

The attachment (see the pictures) is extremely simple, regardless of whether you shift mechanically or with cables. There is a channel on the inside for both. The hooks are simply attached with adhesive tape, ideally with duct tape at the end of the extension in front of the gear levers, and then I always put a layer of grip tape on top for the final hold of the hook and the hand. The highlight of this tape instead of classic handlebar tape or neoprene covers: as the name suggests, it simply has more grip, even when wet. Of course, the grappling hooks also work with normal handlebar tape or under neoprene covers, as are sometimes installed on Canyon's Speedmax models.

Delivery includes: two grappling hooks and two pieces of plain black grip tape for the usual 22.2 millimeter extension tube. Depending on the circumference and type of switch, you may need to trim a little with scissors or a cutter. As a guide, the following circumferences: a bare 22.2 millimeter tube has 7 cm, an external Di2 cable 7.5 cm and mechanical gearshift and at the front directly at the hook then 9 cm circumference. Or you can buy the new version 2.0 for internal cables here and now.
