The choice when it comes to just one chainring without a front derailleur in time trials or triathlons. Without it, in the worst case, the chain will fall off. Thanks to a special design of the teeth, this does not happen with this chain ring. The trick originally comes from the MTB sector, where the trend has been towards a chainring for years and things get even rougher. You can find more details about the tooth profile in the pictures. Attention: this chainring has no climbing aids and does not work with a smaller ring as a combination!
You can find out here and here on my blog why only one chainring is often enough and why it can also be a bit larger.
Details: milled 7075-T6 aluminum, 110 or 130 millimeter bolt circle (BCD). These blades are extremely torsion-resistant, even if they are only 3.7 millimeters thick at their thickest point. The back is milled out to save weight. 54 teeth weigh only 145 grams! And 60 then 200. Shorter screws are required (approx. 6 mm) than required for 2x chainring sets. It's here .
Sizes available are 50, 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60 teeth anodized in black.
The new version also fits 12-speed and AXS flat top chains. If necessary, please check availability with me in advance: marcus@derbaranski.de .
Other colours, bolt circle diameters and sizes – only an even number of teeth is possible – on request. Due to the numerous options, expect delivery times if there is no availability in the corresponding size.
