Chainrings from CNC specialist Garbaruk are the choice when it comes to just one chain without a front derailleur. Without it, the chain always falls off at some point. Thanks to a special design of the teeth, this does not happen with this chainring. The trick originally comes from the MTB sector, where the trend for years has been towards a chainring and things are even rougher. You can find more detailed information about the tooth profile in the pictures. Attention, this blade does not have any climbing aids and does not work as a combination with a smaller blade!
You can find out why just one chainring is often enough and why it can also be a little bigger can be found here and here in my blog. Of course, the Weight Weenie also saves weight by no longer having a front derailleur or a small blade. For comparison, this one with 54 teeth only weighs seven grams more than the 54 blade from Shimano.
Details: milled 7075-T6 aluminum, adapted to the crank of Shimano's current DURA-ACE 9200 groupset and corresponding power meters. It doesn't fit 100% with other Shimano cranks, but I have other models in the shop. These leaves are extremely torsion-resistant.
Available sizes are 54, 56, 58 and fat 60 teeth, black anodized.
Garbaruk works with offset on these blades so that the chain line is even better depending on the blade size: 56 has 1.5 mm and 58 and 60 2.3 mm inwardly offset teeth. Fits all 9, 10, 11 and 12-speed chains, including SRAM's AXS flattop chains!
Due to the numerous options, please expect delivery times if there is no availability for the relevant size.
