Finally, there are reusable chain locks for flattop design chains: the Quick Release Safety Links MK 12 from YBN.
If you change your chain frequently, this is my chain lock of choice. And when it comes to waxing your chain, you often put it on and off the bike, and it only takes a few minutes.
This chain lock fits 12-speed chains in the flat top design from YBN and SRAM. These have larger links and therefore require different locks. You can find 12-speed locks for all other chain types here . You can find the 11-speed version here . In a bundle together with pliers and Molten Speed Wax you can get them here .
Unlike those of the big brands, YBN chain locks can always be used multiple times. The best way to open and close them is with the YBN pliers provided. However, I always recommend using a new lock with a new chain!
When moving it looks like this: https://youtu.be/i9wJgZ_6u-Q
Here you can get the MK 12 as six pieces on a blister card.
