Collection: Waxed chains
I have been dealing with the topic of waxed chains for ten years, have followed every trend, heard every claim from the wax suppliers, made every user error myself and now I still regularly get them in my inbox.
I degrease the original Baranski chain in several laborious steps, because this is crucial for the further waxing process, the adhesion and the service life of any lubrication.
Only then is it hot waxed, either with Molten Speed Wax or the DryFluid Formula S Chain-Ceramic, which is only available from me on finished chains.
With one exception (Shimano HG 701 with pin), the chain lock is always waxed.
I have compiled tips on assembly, maintenance and re-lubrication if necessary here in my blog.
