The new Molten Speed Wax (yes, this is the new formula!) is, in my opinion, the best tuning for bicycle chains. It puts an end to dirty chains, keeps the drive clean and ensures smooth running. The melted wax lubricates excellently and is still dry. In my opinion, this is a big plus in terms of performance, but also in everyday life and in bad weather. The black grease and high wear of expensive cassettes and chainrings is completely eliminated. And the idiot tattoo on the calf, by the way.
The wax is also environmentally friendly. And when you rinse it off after a rainy ride, no chain grease gets on the disc brakes.
The chain must be degreased beforehand and the preparation takes a bit of time. But it's worth it. The time is easily saved later by not having to clean the dirty drive.
It's very easy to use: heat both pucks in a slow cooker to just under 100 degrees, then swirl the grease-free chain in it for a few minutes, ideally using the Swisher Tool . Then let it cool, break it in, assemble it and drive off. I recommend wearing strong rubber gloves when doing this, as the wax and chain are hot.
In motion, the growth looks like this in detail, feel free to turn the sound on:
If you want to know more about the waxing process and preparation, take a look at my blog . I have collected and answered the most frequently asked questions here . You can find the information in a picture gallery here . You can read about what happens next with the waxed chain here . You will also need to re-grease it at some point.

As is always the case with small companies without a sponsorship budget, no names can be mentioned. According to Molten Speed Wax, however, these are the various successes with the product, in addition to one or two victories of mine:
2019 UCI World Championships Yorkshire: 3 Gold Medals Won On MSPEEDWAX Multiple Elite World Championship Victories | Olympic Victory | Multiple Elite Pursuit World Records | Triathlon World Championship Victory | World Human Powered Vehicle Land Speed Record | Multiple National Hour Records | Multiple Elite World Championship ITT Victories
Attention: Because the chain has to be attached and removed several times, I recommend special locks, such as these ones.
I always ride several chains in parallel and then wax them. After the time trial bike, it goes to the racing bike and then to the MTB or gravel bike. The principle is also ideal for off-road use and in really bad weather.
Changing the lock only takes a few minutes, so the drive always stays smooth and clean. This saves you time when cleaning later.
Please note that after riding in wet conditions, the chain should be briefly wiped dry.
And if all of this is too much effort for you, but you're still keen to try out the finished product: Sometimes I have a few prepared chains here in the shop. Or you can send me yours and I'll do it for you .
For those on a tight budget: there is also a bundle of wax, pliers, Swisher tool and chain locks available here .
If you are looking for a chain that I have pimped with Molten Speed Wax, you will be happy here .
