With a length of 124 millimeters, these new arm pads go to the maximum that the men from the UCI still allow. Advantage for you: You lie much better on these than on shorter models, the load is simply better distributed.
Profile Design uses a mixture of nylon and fiberglass for the shells and has improved the contact surface made of EVA foam so that it still feels good even when wet and sweaty and does not become soaked or slip. In my experience, this is a big plus compared to cheap foam rubber, which is sometimes used in much more expensive models. The upholstery has hit the golden mean of not being too hard, not being too soft and not immediately sagging like other cheap solutions. I explicitly like the not so high flanks here, from which you can quickly get out and grab the base handlebars even in an emergency, for example in gusts.
The Ergo+ are a great upgrade, even for older aero handlebar models, and hardly any other supplier offers such a large assembly and adjustment range as the Americans with their hole pattern. If you are unsure whether the kit fits you, see the detailed picture or send me a picture of your cockpit to service@derbaranski.de .
