These new arm pads are 124 millimeters long, which is the maximum that the UCI allows. The advantage for you is that you lie much better on them than on shorter models, and the load is simply distributed better.
Profile Design uses a mixture of nylon and fiberglass for the shells and has improved the EVA foam surface so that it still feels good even when wet and sweaty and does not soak up or slip. In my experience, this is a big plus compared to cheap foam rubber, which is sometimes used on much more expensive models. The padding is a happy medium: not too hard, not too soft and does not sag immediately like other cheap solutions. I particularly like the not so high sides here, which allow you to quickly get out and grab the base handlebar in an emergency, for example in gusts of wind.
The Ergo+ are a great upgrade for older aerobar models and hardly any other supplier offers such a large installation and adjustment range as the Americans with their hole pattern. If you are unsure whether the kit will fit you, see the detailed image or send me a picture of your cockpit to service@derbaranski.de .
The key data: height 16 millimeters, length 124 millimeters, 15 millimeter hole spacing and length adjustment and 18.5 millimeter width adjustment. 10 millimeter pad thickness. The pad and shell are connected using extremely strong Velcro. The scope of delivery includes four M6x10 screws. If you're interested in this component: the pair weighs around 220 grams.
Important and important to note: there is a left and right bowl. You should definitely read the assembly instructions before assembly.
In addition to the 43 ASC Extensions and 52 ASC Extensions, other tuning parts for your aero cockpit are my own grappling hooks as well as the computer holder from 76projects and angle adapters from Profile Design.
