Form-fitting and ergonomic mounts for SRAM Wireless Blips and Shimano's satellite shifter SW-R9150 in the extensions on the aero handlebars of triathlon and time trial bikes.

  • Better connection to the extensions than the standard clips
  • Individually and ergonomically selectable position of the shift buttons
  • More seat length
  • Easy installation

These little helpers are a great upgrade, especially for all bikes with SRAM's AXS protocol. You no longer need a blipbox and the cockpit is finally truly wireless, because the wireless blips communicate wirelessly with the AXS rear derailleur.

The mount from 76 Projects from the UK is simply screwed into the extensions using an eccentric and the SRAM Blips, i.e. the shifters, are then simply pushed in. Shimano has continued to work with cables, thouhg.

These adapters are available in different versions with different angles and can be switched using either your finger or your thumb:

SRAM AXS

  • Straight - Thumb activated - Ideal for traditional deep hand positions.
  • 40 degrees - Thumb activated - Ideal for high hand positions.
  • 40 Degrees - Finger Activated - This variant is also for high hand positions, but the blip is directed inwards for finger activation. This leaves the top free for the thumb and prevents accidental gear changes.

  • These shifters are compatible with 11- and 12-speed groups. They are wired, but their small profile allows them to be mounted in ergonomic places. The cable is fed through the wedge mechanism so that it can be routed inside the handlebars. From experience, this is a bit tricky with the cables of the Shimano shifters, but it is doable. Note: The 9150 shifters still have the old EW-SD50 cables, which, depending on how your bike is built, have to be changed to the EW-SD300 using an adapter from the 12-speed gear system onwards. It may also be necessary to reprogram the 11-speed to 12-speed using the old (!) e-Tube app, see here .

Another advantage in addition to the better appearance and ergonomics: The seat length is around 40 millimeters longer, so tall people in particular can move further forward than is the case with standard extensions, where the shifters are at the end.

These adapters also work great with all Canyon bikes with the Mono-Extensions or “ Gear Groove ” upgrade, i.e. the new Aeroad, the Grail Gravelbike and the Speedmax in the CF SLX and CFR variants.

Just to be on the safe side, I'd like to mention again that I'm not supplying you with the shifters, this is about the adapters and all the pictures are something like a serving suggestion, all right?

My colleagues from the UK have recorded here in video form how exactly these mounts are installed depending on the type:

Straight - Thumb-activated

40 degrees - thumb activated

40 degrees - finger activated

By the way, these parts complement my grappling hooks for aero handlebars very well!
