Chainrings from CNC specialist Garbaruk are the choice when you only need one chainring without a derailleur. Without one, the chain will always fall off at some point. Thanks to a special design of the teeth, this doesn't happen with this chainring. The trick originally comes from the MTB sector, where the trend for years has been towards one chainring and things are getting even rougher. You can find more details about the tooth profile in the pictures. Please note that this chainring has no climbing aids and does not work in combination with a smaller chainring!
Why often just one chainring is enough and why it can be a bit bigger, you can find out here and here in my blog. The Weight Weenie also saves weight by not having a front derailleur or a small chainring. For comparison, this one with 54 teeth weighs just seven grams more than the 54 chainring from Shimano.
Details: milled 7075-T6 aluminum, adapted to the crank of Shimano's current DURA-ACE 9200 group and corresponding power meters. It does not fit 100% on other Shimano cranks, but I have other models in the shop. These blades are extremely torsion-resistant.
Available sizes are 54, 56, 58 and a whopping 60 teeth, black anodized.
Garbaruk uses offset on these rings so that the chain line is even better depending on the ring size: 56 has 1.5 mm teeth and 58 and 60 have 2.3 mm teeth offset inwards. Fits all 9-, 10-, 11- and 12-speed chains, including SRAM's AXS Flattop chains!
Due to the numerous options, please allow for delivery times if there is no availability in the corresponding size listed here.
Garbaruk chainrings are free of shipping costs within Germany!
