The ultimate set for increasing the gear range on a gravel bike with an 11-speed GRX group and only one chainring. By upgrading to the 11-50 cassette and replacing the derailleur cage and guide pulleys, you can climb any incline that was too steep with the maximum standard cassette. The range increases to 455% and you also have gear reductions available. A positive side effect: you can now fit a 42-tooth chainring or more at the front to get up to speed on flat terrain, and it's still more than enough at the back.
If you want to see exactly how it works and what it brings, you can get help here in the bikeboard workshop. The manufacturer describes it here .
The delivery includes:
the 11-speed cassette 11-50. Except for the 50 made of aluminum, the body is made from a single piece of milled steel.
- the long derailleur cage to cover the entire range.
- two large shift rollers and teeth including industrial bearings.
- Lockring and spacer ring.
For me it's the always trendy combination of black and silver.
Be careful, you need a fairly long chain because of the large rear plate. With a 42 tooth chainring at the front, Shimano's should stay at the standard 116 links or longer. I recommend using original Shimano chains with this cassette and not other brands. Tip: the HG 701 is also available in 126 length!
The conversion kit is intended exclusively for the rear derailleur RD-RX 812.
