Park Tool FR-5.2G Sprocket and Brake Disc Puller
A decent brake puller has been an essential tool in every toolbox, especially since the advent of disc brakes. The Park Tool FR-5.2G is one such tool that can even be passed down to the next generation.
- Versatile puller for sprockets and brake discs
- Compatible with Shimano®, SRAM®, SunRace®, SunTour®, Chris King® lockrings
- Also fits some Shimano® disc brake retaining rings.
- Guide pin stabilizes tool
Heat-treated alloy tool steel, one-inch socket suitable for wrenches or a vise. The thin-walled construction allows for use without removing cones and locknuts. The FR-5.2G has 12 splines with a diameter of approximately 23.4 mm. Ideally, it's used as a lever with a large adjustable wrench or a 1-inch open-end wrench (2.54 cm) or a vise. I always use this puller with the matching American chain whip .
Here's how the application works exactly:
Like everything from Park Tool, it's really good, heavy-duty quality, and this tool is actually still made in the USA.
