Profile Design A3 Reach Extender – More reach for your aero position

The A3 Reach Extender from Profile Design extends the pad reach of your A3 base bar by 30 mm, supporting the latest trends in time trial and triathlon riding positions. Ideal for riders who prefer longer, more stable, and more aerodynamic riding positions.

  • +30 mm range: More length = more speed potential
  • +25 mm height: Perfect adjustment to your desired position
  • Compatibility: Suitable for A3 systems – A2 system requires A2-A3 adapter, see here .
  • Safety tested: Profile Design load tests – no comparison to many DIY solutions
  • Versatile: Compatible with top bikes such as BMC Speedmachine, Canyon Speedmax CF 2024, CUBE Aerium, Wilier Supersonica and many more
  • For Shimano & SRAM: Di2 cable routing possible (a bit fiddly), optimal with wireless SRAM Wireless Blips

The A3 Reach Extender from Profile Design increases the pad reach of an A3 riser-equipped handlebar by 30 millimeters. These parts were developed to support the trend toward longer and higher aero positions. The reach extender is designed so that the front bolt continues to run from the handlebar to the bracket to keep the structure secure. Handlebars built on the A2 system must use the A2-A3 adapter . The reach extender increases the cockpit height by 25 millimeters.

Good to know, given the many custom solutions from smaller suppliers: Profile Design has tested this safety-relevant component for the corresponding loads. Bikes that the reach extender fits include the BMC Speed Machine, the Canyon Speedmax CF 2024, CUBE's Aerium, and the Willier Supersonica.

Compatible base handlebars are Profile Designs (or equivalent) models such as Wing 20C+, Wing Ultimate, and Aeria Ultimate, which again uses the A2 to A3 adapter, which you can find here . If you're unsure, send me an email to service@derbaranski.de, including photos of your current cockpit.

With Shimano's Di2 drivetrain, the shifter cable runs through the extender, which is a bit fiddly. The wireless SRAM Blips, on the other hand, are great, and I have the right shifter mounts for them from 76 Projects.

Scope of delivery: One set = two reach extenders and two M6 x 35 mm bolts with washers. Weight: 72 grams per pair.

Small tip: Other things that will help you sit longer on the aero cockpit are my grappling hooks for aero handlebars and the shifter pods from 76 Projects , which let you grip even further forward.

Made in Taiwan.
