The advantage for you: you can get the maximum performance from a single model with one helmet platform and two rear skirts. Switching between them is incredibly easy, and the same applies to changing the visor.

The rear skirt is the aerodynamically shaped back section of a time trial helmet. It extends the helmet's shape backward, ensuring clean airflow over the head and back. This reduces drag and saves valuable watts. On the SCOTT Split, it can be changed depending on the riding position to optimize aerodynamics. It can be adjusted for either a low position, where the head is in front of the torso, or a higher head position. This is explained well in this video:
